2020 In Review
This has been a year like no other for our industry and this year’s ServiceX may be the most important we’ve ever held. Facilities teams have been front and center in the fight against COVID-19, while social unrest and the early hurricane season have kept us all on our toes. Teams are being asked to do more with less and to step up like never before.
We understand the pressure you’ve been under and we’ve taken steps this year to help. Our Reopening Playbook provided a roadmap and tools to help you carefully reopen your locations when the lockdown lifted. We published a series of webinars and blog posts to help put these plans into action, and we released COVID-19 data overlays to help you track spending related to the virus.
We also made some features in our platform available at no cost, including CheckList, to help manage and organize reopenings, and our weather module, which shows which locations are in the path of extreme weather to enable you to prepare sooner.
What to Expect at ServiceX 2020
But we know that more is being asked of you, and that’s why we want to do more to help. At this year’s ServiceX you’ll be able to learn from each other, from our team, and from an incredible lineup of sessions and speakers. We’ll also reveal some exciting changes coming to our platform and our services to help us stay ahead of your evolving needs.
Our speakers and sessions will address themes that you’ve told us are most important for you right now: building greater resilience and efficiency into your operations; providing the best service possible with the limited resources you have, and hiring the very best service providers to solve challenges that often seem unsolvable. We’ll also place a big emphasis on how you can increase compliance and control.
Despite being a virtual event, you’ll have lots of opportunities to network and learn from each other. A chat feature will be on at all times, so you can ask questions and talk in groups or individually. We’re aiming for the same level of conversation that you would have at an in-person event.
And of course, you’ll hear about our latest product updates and what we’re planning for the near future. A big part of that is allowing you to make even greater use of the incredibly rich data we have inside our platform. You’ll be able to learn more about Scout, our new service that uses the power of data to ensure you get exactly the providers that are right for you, based on your unique needs and priorities.
But we also want to help you experience the platform in new ways to make your jobs even easier. So far, we’ve provided the technology and capabilities to help you drive better business outcomes yourselves, whether that’s better provider performance, lower costs or higher quality of service. But we’ve heard from some of you that you’d like us to go a step further, by not just providing the technology and data but also playing a bigger role in your day to day operations and taking action on your behalf. I won’t say more about that now, but I hope you’ll come to ServiceX to learn about these exciting plans we have for the future.
One thing that’s clear from this year is that the future won’t look anything like the past. The role of the facility manager has become even more strategic one for your companies.
