User Groups Provide Interactive Experience for ServiceChannel Users
The ServiceChannel team and I arrived in Orlando, Florida on April 5, 2014 to conduct a complimentary User Group for about 100 of our clients, one day before the Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association (PRSM) trade show began. The theme of our User Groups are “Insights, Information and Inspiration.” Our goals were to:
- Provide clients with insight through pure peer presentations
- Receive feedback from clients to grow and improve our services
- Inspire clients with new ways to make the most out of the ServiceChannel software
- Provide information regarding recent changes and news about what’s coming next from ServiceChannel
- Discuss ServiceChannel’s new Business Intelligence platform, ProView
- Discuss our completion of SSAE 16
The format of the User Group is very peer-driven; we had 4 clients make presentations to the group about how their operations have improved with ServiceChannel. We have found that our clients are always very enthusiastic about the peer presentations, in large part because each client uses our software in a unique way to solve industry wide problems.
We also have roundtable discussions where we pick specific aspects of our software to explore with attendees. The result is always a great hands-on learning experience that simply cannot be replicated with webinars and one-to-one calls.
We also invited a client to come in and speak about the importance of reporting standardization within the facilities management industry – basically calling for all retailers to look at the same, or very similar, performance indicators – and then be able to utilize this data for benchmarking. This discussion on Business Intelligence briefly included ServiceChannel’s own platform, ProView, ahead of a more thorough presentation, scheduled for later.
Like all ServiceChannel User Groups, Orlando was an overwhelming success thanks to the audience & presenters. Gatherings like these offer great opportunities to map out what’s important for our clients and our industry, and what we can do to make their jobs and their lives easier while pushing the industry forward. We love to see our clients getting excited about ServiceChannel tools and spreading the word about Business Intelligence and ServiceChannel’s ProView Business Intelligence platform.
As a fitting conclusion, we had a closing cocktail party at Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort to watch the fireworks at Epcot Center. The next day we would be attending the PRSM tradeshow, read more about what we learned at PRSM.
