ServiceChannel Drives Increased Visibility and Compliance with New Refrigerant and Inventory Capabilities
NEW YORK and BALTIMORE (NFMT) – March 20, 2018 – ServiceChannel, the leading online marketplace and SaaS platform for facilities managers, contractors, and technicians, announced two new, fully integrated extensions to its Service Automation platform for facilities professionals. New asset management capabilities extend to now manage refrigerant and related compliance challenges, while the recently released inventory functionality tracks ongoing parts and supplies usage and stocking levels. These new features expand the platform’s offerings by ensuring regulatory compliance and providing greater visibility into holistic facilities repair and maintenance costs.
ServiceChannel’s new Refrigerant Tracking Manager (RTM) is the industry’s first refrigerant tracking functionality to fully integrate into a facilities management (FM) system. RTM is designed to help grocery and supermarket chains, food retailers, and convenience store brands achieve compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ozone depleting refrigerant regulations and avoid related fines. It tracks the addition of refrigerants to racks or assets at facilities, confirms that leakages do not exceed mandated thresholds, and notifies users in the field if thresholds are exceeded.
Full RTM features include:
- Refrigerated assets tracking
- User definable leak rate thresholds
- EPA certified leak rate calculation
- Leak record generation
- GreenChill (EPA partnership) reporting
Additionally, with ServiceChannel’s new Inventory Management functionality, companies can now accurately track, manage, and report on inventory levels of parts and supplies used in repair and maintenance operations across all locations. It further enables companies to effectively manage the work performed by internal staff with external third party contractors in a single, integrated platform.
Full inventory management features include:
- Inventory tracking by location (warehouse, location, tech/truck, aggregate)
- Part history tracking (supply levels, usage)
- Cost of parts tracking
- Total cost of ownership tracking for specific parts, locations and assets
“At ServiceChannel, it is our mission to set a new standard for facilities management, and streamlining operations and increasing transparency across the entire program is essential for success,” said ServiceChannel CEO, Tom Buiocchi. “These new capabilities are another step toward maximizing efficiency around the overall operation, with a goal of providing greater insight into costs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and ultimately helping customers decrease spending on repair and maintenance activities.”
