Success in Retail Sector Drives ServiceChannel Growth and Momentum

Company to Demo Latest Innovations to Transform Retail Facilities Management at PRSM 2016 National Conference

LONG BEACH, Calif, April 25, 2016 (Booth No. 1658) – ServiceChannel, the leading SaaS service automation platform for facilities managers and contractors, today announced that it is again exhibiting at the PRSM National Conference taking place this week to provide facilities management professionals in the retail industry with the latest technical innovations,  information resources, solutions, networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities.

As a prelude to its activities at PRSM 2016, ServiceChannel hosted approximately 100 retail customers and contractors at its user group that served as both an information-sharing and peer-to-peer networking event. The retail industry is arguably the most important segment for ServiceChannel with more than 250 corporate customers, many of them being large, global brands. ServiceChannel enhanced its ability to better meet the ever-changing requirements of its retail customers (and other distributed enterprises) with the acquisition of Big Sky Technologies earlier this year. Combined, ServiceChannel and Big Sky have enabled customers to initiate, track and settle more than 50 million repair and maintenance work orders since their founding. This represents a total of almost $30 billion in repairs and maintenance spend that was managed more efficiently and intelligently through software-as-a-service (SaaS)-enabled service automation compared to legacy methods.

A key benefit for retailers who use ServiceChannel is having transparency and access to a wide range of standard and custom analytics reports and insights. These include the ability to parse data, such as spending, in any number of ways such as by trade, by work order type, by location, etc. ServiceChannel analytics aligns with the general trend of retail companies investing heavily in their business intelligence programs to better serve customers. Recently, ServiceChannel enhanced its analytics portfolio with ServiceChannel Analytics Premium, giving customers new data exploration, dynamic dashboard and real-time alert tools.

Over the last year, ServiceChannel has delivered on other significant enhancements and advanced functionality to its SaaS platform. For example, the company introduced a new version of the ServiceChannel Mobile App that enables facilities managers and other users to initiate/track/manage maintenance and repair work orders anywhere and from any Apple iOS and Android device. Enterprise mobility is one of seven key facilities management trends that ServiceChannel has identified as having the most impact this year.

ServiceChannel also introduced ServiceChannel Compliance Manager, a web-based tool designed to help enterprises save time and money by providing a single, consolidated view of global contractor and supplier compliance. In addition, ServiceChannel invested in helping facilities managers enhance their careers with ServiceChannel LearningChannel, which gives these professionals access to a number of instructor-led and online training courses on diverse topics related to service automation-enabled facilities management.

“The theme of PRSM 2016 is ‘Expect the Unexpected,’ which is our message to retail customers everywhere when it comes to the many benefits of applying modern service automation technologies as retail facilities management best practices,” said Tom Buiocchi, CEO of ServiceChannel. “We are past the tipping point of digital transformation being a reality for the retail industry. Retailers who will thrive in this era are the ones who can integrate innovation more effectively than their competitors. Our retail customers know that we will be with them every step of the way in helping them achieve this goal.”
